Hi Svetlana!

It's not an easy question. And I don't pretend to have the perfect answer. I'll just give you my 2 cents :).

The way I look at it is the following: crimes, natural disasters, wars, whichever things might happen in the world acquire a connotation of good or bad only when there is a mind that judges them. Good and bad are concepts, right? They are thoughts within our minds. Do you agree?

For me good, bad and other monstrous Aristotelian categories exist only in our minds; dogs, cats, lions, gazelles, volcano sure don't know about good or bad.

Note that I am not saying that we don't have to do good, try to help spread peace, solve famine and all the rest.

I am just saying that you can be completely at peace even in the middle of the storm if you stop your mind.

Until then the world will reflect whatever your inner convictions are.

Does this make any sense? :)
